Moving beyond inspections, Inspectorio’s new RISE Module allows retailers, brands, and suppliers to audit their production chains for responsible sourcing – providing real-time data, transparency and tools to strengthen the production ecosystem and enhance continuous improvement.
MINNEAPOLIS, December 10, 2019 - Inspectorio, the Software as a Service network platform leader in the inspection software industry, is set to revolutionize production chain transparency and accountability by giving brands and retailers a robust new tool to evaluate and improve their production networks for environmental and responsible sourcing compliance.
The Inspectorio RISE module works to enhance environmental, social, and labor transparency for brands, retailers, vendors, factories, and third-party verification companies by providing context and transparency through comprehensive Supply Chain Responsibility and Sustainability Compliance reports.
Companies already using Inspectorio’s quality control and supplier compliance verification platform are primed to begin taking advantage of RISE’s unparalleled capabilities, while companies just beginning their compliance journey can use Inspectorio RISE to as a foundation upon which to build their programs.
The RISE module allows companies to execute reports based on industry standards. Companies may also set their own standards based on their organization’s specific goals and metrics. Inspectorio RISE also offers support materials to help guide vendors through the assessment process with score cards, dynamic and comprehensive reports, charts identifying a vendor’s results against the industry average, and more. Beyond those actionable metrics, RISE offers the option to assign E-Learning certification courses on the platform.
Inspectorio partnered with the Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP), the multi-stakeholder initiative that is implementing a converged, industry-wide assessment methodology for collecting and verifying social and labor data to reduce the need for duplicative audits and free up resources to improve working conditions. Inspectorio is now a SLCP Passive Accredited Host following a rigorous testing period. This will ensure that Inspectorio users have the ability to access SLCP verified data and the opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives that, through a robust set of analytics, contribute to achieving greater accordance with social and labor requirements.
Transparency, responsible sourcing, environmental and social compliance are no longer the purview of select, environmentally-focused companies but have become integral to brands and retailers who recognize the link between social and financial returns. In 2018, 86% of the companies in the S&P 500 Index® published sustainability or corporate responsibility reports - up from just 20% in 2011.
“The idea of social and environmental responsibility being simply an option is no longer viable for companies wishing to remain competitive, much less those seeking to establish themselves as leaders,” said Carlos Moncayo Castillo, Cofounder and CEO of Inspectorio. “Brands and retailers are now in a position where they must not only monitor their production chains, but support and improve them – and be able to communicate their findings in terms of social and environmental impact as well as provide context of how they relate to their organization’s broader mission.”
On December 17th, Inspectorio will be hosting a webinar to give interested parties a deep dive into Inspectorio RISE.
